Italian miniaturist, sculptor and painter, one of the main representatives of the Lombardian school of illuminations fluorishing under the patronage of the Visconti. This school excelled in the representation of nature. Grassiás sketch-book in the Biblioteca Civica, Bergamo manifests the results of this school.Grassi was a court artist, with the contribution of his son Salamone he executed for Gian Galeozzo Visconti the Uffiziolo (Book of the Offices). He worked as a sculptor in Cathedral of Milan. |
